- Discussed tasks to stay on track with our timeline
- We are in contact with Urban Tree Connections, a local Philadelphia farming organization
- Goals:
- complete some blog maintenance
- research the European GMO and organic policies
- Investigate the process of becoming Certified Organic in the United States
- We are conflicted as there are advantages and disadvantages to both GMO and Organic Products and we are looking into finding a happy medium
Purpose
This blog will detail a ten week engineering design project assessing the advantages and disadvantages financially, environmentally, and qualitatively of the production of GMO products versus non-GMO products. The ultimate goal of the project is to draft a written policy memo addressed to a Pennsylvania farm as well as the U.S. Department of Agriculture outlining a plan of action to improve and optimize GMO and non-GMO production.
